Christmas with a Twist at The Lantern
Fancy celebrating Christmas a little differently this year?
Our Indian Christmas menu is available for shared party nights or exclusive use for a groups between 30 – 40 guests at £35 per person for our four-course Friday night party menu and £38 per person for our Saturday night party menu with doors opening at 7:00pm and food served at 7:30pm.
Our Party Nights take place on 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th December 2026, including live music. It’s a festive dining experience that brings together the vibrant flavours of India with the magic of Christmas in Malvern.

Organising a Christmas party in Malvern for work or friends? Celebrate at Mount Pleasant Hotel with a three-course festive meal followed by music and dancing until late. Our shared Christmas Party Nights take place on 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th December 2026, with doors opening at 6.30pm and food served from 7.15pm. Each night includes a DJ, with a live band joining us on 11th December. Tickets are £47 per person.

Join Kirstie of Happy Mind Stylist and Jo McCallin, Mindset & Communication Coach, for an inspiring and empowering evening designed to boost your confidence in who you are and how you show up in the world.
Together, they’ll explore the powerful connection between style, mindset, communication and confidence, with honest conversations, practical exercises, inspirational insights and plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded women in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
There’s a little homework too! Bring along a clothing item or accessory you love but aren’t sure how to style — perhaps something you’re unsure suits your shape, colour or personality. Kirstie will help you see it in a whole new way, while Jo will share her expertise on how the way we think, speak and present ourselves can influence how we feel and how others experience us.
We’ll finish with our Style & Confidence Mixer.

Overall a comfy stay. Found the hotel quite quaint, the room a little tired (room 7) and small - a small double bed as well - and quite expensive despite a discounted rate as we were there for a friends party that was being held in the hotel.
Unfortunately there was no water on the Sunday morning but that was beyond the hotels control. So we were unable to shower or even wash our faces. It was back on after breakfast but by that time we needed to leave to travel home.

The room was right next to where people sit on the terrace. There was literally someones face at our window and we had to listen to their entire conversation.
Plus they were blaring out dance music all afternoon so Couldn't chillout in the room at all
Couldn't open the curtains. Room very tired and mismatched. So hot even with the useless fan they had

Generally a good stay and reasonable value for money.
Hotel could do with a facelift. The outside is looking shabby.
Room was fairly well equipped but again in need of modernisation. Walk in shower rather than climb in bath would help.
Shampoo and conditioner as opposed to just basic shower gel would have been an improvement.
Food in Mulberry Restaurant was excellent and service first rate.

We have now stayed at Mount Pleasant in Malvern twice, while going to the RHS spring festival, and we had a lovely stay.
The location is brilliant right in the centre of Great Malvern, the room was lovely, and the bathroom was amazing.
Breakfast was delicious, my only regret is that they put avocado and spinach with the veggie option and I much preferred it without when we stayed the year before.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint would be the constant banging of doors, not the hotels fault, by other inconsiderate guests as our room was directly over the hotel entrance, and the room was quite hot, we should have asked for a fan.
Also with regards to the mulberry tree Resteraunt I do think they need to have more options on the menu for dinner, and more non meat options.
I do highly recommend this hotel as it is clean, welcoming and in a superb location.

Perfect for a single night stay. It did not matter the TV signal was corrupt, we listened to our radio. Local walks are good. The hotel, built in Georgian period, was fine. It has many stairs. Restaurant is on the ground floor, varied menu choices.The door onto the pavement, used to be revolving door. We both discussed how reinstatement of the revolving door would be good.

Excellent hotel in a great location in Malvern. The staff were all friendly, helpful and I cannot fault them.
The room was lovely, a bigger TV might be an improvement but otherwise great room and amazing shower.
The menus had a good choice of food which was excellent, each dish was of a very good quality.
I would stay again and highly recommend Mount Pleasant.

Had a lovely stay here. It is an excellent location at the foot of the Malvern Hills and just at the start of the footpath that goes up the 100 steps. The room was the Family Suite and it was a large, beautiful room. The stay was made even better by the man on reception, who was incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived. He went out of his way to be helpful and recommended a fantastic breakfast, which I really enjoyed! His friendly and attentive service truly stood out and made a great first impression. Thank you! 🌟

Lovely position for a break, we were visiting the revamped theatre and decided to make a weekend of it. The hotel is a great position for this and 100 steps to the hills, accessible across the car park. The staff were great and very attentive. Our room was clean but tired, bed was comfortable but the rest of the furniture looked like charity shop rejects. Breakfast was superb, we would stay again but don’t think I could recommend to friends and family.

Whilst our room was looking a little tired in places, it was very clean and comfortable. All staff were polite, well presented and extremely helpful both before and during our stay. The breakfast was excellent, both in presentation and quantity.
Location of the hotel was easy to navigate to and was ideal for our purpose with fantastic views out across the surrounding countryside as a bonus.
Overall, very well done and well worth considering for a stay in Great Malvern.

Excellent stay at this hotel in room 10 which has a deep stand alone bath an huge walk in shower. Gorgeous room with all original features very comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was brill too. Thank you for a lovely experience.

The hotel hosted our annual Malvern Speakers Toastmasters Christmas Dinner for 24 people in The Dame Laura Knight Suite.
The room was fully laid out including table numbers, name places, and menu choices.
The food (a 3 course Christmas Dinner) was excellent and the staff were extremely attentive. Nothing was a problem for them.
We will definitely be choosing the venue again next year.
My Wife and I stayed in the hotel for the night.
The room was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was cooked to perfection.
This is a lovely place, but the car parking is very limited.

It was a nice hotel with a very good bar especially. The room was nice although the shower wasn't great but the room was comfy and there was a great view. There were 2 disappointments, firstly the car park isn't big enough for the guests, so we had to leave our car in a very awkward place and keep looking out for when someone had moved so we could get a space, that was frustrating. The 2nd was that breakfast wasn't served until 7.30am, which is very late for a hotel. Our business meeting started at 7.45am so we were unable to have the breakfast that we had paid for. As a frequent traveller I can safely say that most places start breakfast at 6-6.30am. Other than that it was a nice hotel, i would stay again.

Loved staying at this 19 bedroom hotel, slept really well in a room of our choice at the back of the hotel. We had breakfast here and there was plenty of fruit as well as low sugar cereals in addition to the usual breakfasts that you get in hotels. Hardly any oil on our cooked breakfasts too which we appreciated and everything is marked up as gluten/lactose free which was brilliant (I've been predominantly dairy free for over 20 years). Mount Pleasant is really up to speed on dietary requirements and the fact that many people like to eat healthily so well done 👏. Stunning views of the flower troughs on the railings across the road from the hotel and of The Priory Abbey and the streets of Great Malvern Town itself from the front bedroom windows. The hotel's Mulberry Tree 🌳 Restaurant facing the front has the same views too. Brilliant service throughout the hotel 🏨.

Stayed here really recently and had a fantastic and relaxing stay.
The hotel is in such a great location if you want to take in all of what Malvern has to offer. It's right next to the 99 steps which take you up to the Malvern Hills - and the views there are just stunning! And it's also right near the main town and shops, literally just a road away. Perfect location.
The rooms are really clean and in good condition, with a comfy bed to top it off. Also if you want a room with a view then it's got to be Room 1 - absolutely stunning, and a massive room too!
The breakfast was great and really speedy service all round. The restaurant itself (The Mulberry Tree) is fantastic. A great range of drinks and classy food. Excellent presentation and service all round and stunning views out the front of the hotel/restaurant.
I'll definitely coming back here again and recommend to anyone visiting the area or passing through, whether for leisure or business.

Excellent service from start to finish. We had breakfast on both mornings and the food was superb. Attentive staff who were also kind enough to find space for us to have a quick drink in The Mulberry Tree on Saturday evening despite the restaurant being fully booked for the evening service. Will definitely be back.

The location of Mt Pleasant Hotel was excellent, easy to find with ample parking. Next to a charming little park with an interesting history plus a backdrop of the Malvern Hills with easy access from the hotel for those interested in walking which was perfect for us. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful - A female receptionist readily offered information about walking and visiting various sites and printed maps for us, the waiting staff in the dining room were extremely polite and attentive. The breakfast and evening meal menus offered a wide selection of food and any guests with allergies were catered for as far as possible. The areas for improvement were minor - better toilet paper, soap, teabags and instant coffee and perhaps wall art to improve the atmosphere in the bedrooms - all of which shouldn’t be insurmountable for such a lovely hotel.

A very enjoyable stay in a beautiful, quirky building in an exceptional setting. The staff were very helpful when the mattress was too soft for my wife and immediately arranged a new room. Excellent breakfast and friendly helpful stall. Will aim to return.

I stayed for one night and found the hotel to be no more than average. The room was clean and reasonably equipped but maintenance was required. The floorboards creaked throughout, the shower tray ponded. The checkin was somewhat arduous and signed directions could be better. Traditional sash windows don’t offer great sound proofing from the road noise and the hourly chime of the local town clock interrupted sleep pattern. Relatively good food though. Accommodating staff in restaurant/bar.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. We arrived at just after 2pm after a long journey and went to reception where we were told our room would not be ready until 3pm. We asked if we could leave the car there and go for a walk until that time and were told we would have to park in a public car park until we had checked in. We thought this was unreasonable as it was less than an hour and not worth moving the car. The receptionist relented and allowed us to register our car. No effort was made to see if the room was in fact ready. The only other suggestion we would make is that it would be nice to have a lounge or at least a couple of sofas to relax with a drink after the meal.
